2019 was a year of change for over 4,000 children, young people, and parents in Graham's programs with the support of friends like you.

Sheniqua is one of them. As a child, she always dreamt of going to college, and her grandmother, who was raising her, always saw her potential.

Along the way, Sheniqua faced challenges, spending time in foster care and working through experiences of trauma. She worked hard to persevere toward her goals, and friends like you helped us to provide her with coaching and support through our Graham SLAM program, which helps young people complete high school and college and launch a living-wage career.

We are thrilled to share that Sheniqua earned her associate's degree this year and is continuing toward her bachelor's degree! She is also a leader among her peers, working to change the lives of other young people like her.

She says that while she's proud of her grades, "The reward is truly waking up every day knowing that I'm moving forward to craft the life of me and my Grandma's most wildest dreams."
