Aloha John,
I’m Jill Tokuda -- winner of the Democratic primary in Hawaii’s blue
Second Congressional District. I’m likely going to Congress in January.
I’m not asking you to give me money. [ [link removed] ]But I am asking you to donate to
keep newly-elected Alaska Democratic Congresswoman Mary Peltola in the
House so we can serve together!
You may recall, Mary won a giant upset against Sarah Palin recently in a
special election -- the first time a Democrat has won this seat in 50
years! Now, Palin is trying to defeat Mary in [ [link removed] ]November’s rematch.
Hawaii and Alaska share close bonds. Our coastal communities are uniquely
impacted by climate change. Native Hawaiians and Alaska Natives have many
common interests. Our states both have a unique role in national security
(not just because Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house).
I’m excited for the opportunity to join Mary in Congress as we fight
climate change and the Big Oil companies looking to profit from our
protected lands -- and fight for indigenous rights and for working
families.
[ [link removed] ]Can you chip in $3 or more to Mary Peltola so we keep this seat blue
and I can serve with her? Every dollar counts in this tight race. Click
here.
Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski recently endorsed Mary Peltola because
the stakes are high, Mary is very good, and Palin would be very bad for
America.
We need all hands on deck, and I hope you will consider supporting Mary by
[ [link removed] ]making a contribution today.
Mahalo,
Jill Tokuda
