The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that counties cannot count undated mail-in ballots and wrongly dated mail-in ballots in this year’s midterm elections. Even though the court found that counting these ballots violates state law, the six justices were evenly divided on whether rejecting these ballots would violate federal law.

Priorities USA, the Detroit/Downriver Chapter of A. Philip Randolph Institute and voters intervened to defend absentee voting in a GOP lawsuit challenging how absentee ballots are administered, returned and counted in Detroit, Michigan.

As of Oct. 31, the seven Wyoming counties that planned to use drop boxes in the 2022 midterm elections have continued to do so, disregarding Interim Secretary of State Karl Allred's (R) suggestion to remove all drop boxes in the state.
