In Case You Missed It: In October, we celebrated Global Diversity Awareness Month. Earlier this year, Census Bureau Director Robert Santos wrote about the importance of diversity and Census Bureau data and how diversity and inclusion can serve as a catalyst for achieving excellence and advancing equity.

We are listening to diverse voices – like yours. We want to make sure everyone’s ideas are heard and hope that you join the conversation. 

• ❔ How can the U.S. Census Bureau reach everyone - especially historically undercounted populations?
• ❔ How can we support you as you respond to the 2030 Census in English or in another language?
• ❔ How can we reach mobile populations and people living in informal or complex living arrangements?

⏰ The deadline to provide feedback is November 15, 2022.

Earlier today, the Census Bureau released a prerecorded presentation explaining how we are preparing for the 2030 Census. To help us develop the initial plan for conducting the next census, we're asking for public input and have dozens of research projects underway.

To develop the operational design, we will factor in past census experiences, your feedback, and new research. We will also consider evolving technologies and the changing world around us.

We are focused on five areas of research to help us build our operational design: data collection, group quarters enumeration, integrating data collection and processing in real time, streamlining operational infrastructure, and continuous data collection and aggregation.
