This is it: Election Day 2022 is just one week from today.

I set out to run for Congress to give my home and every community across New Mexico’s 2nd District a real representative of the people who will fight for them — not an extreme partisan agenda or the profits of corporate special interests.

Far-right Rep. Yvette Herrell has spent nearly two years proving she is too extreme for NM-02 by voting to overturn the 2020 election results, block legislation to protect abortion rights at the federal level, and oppose lowering the cost of gas, prescription drugs and capping insulin prices.

We need a leader willing to fight for New Mexico’s working families and move our state forward, not backward.

We’ve made it this far and defied the odds, becoming one of the top House races in the nation that will determine control of Congress. Every poll shows us defeating Herrell, but by small margins. We can’t take anything for granted.

If we’re going to win this toss-up race, flip NM-02 blue, and defend our Democratic majority so we can make progress for the people, we need to keep up the hard work over these final seven days of the race. Voting is already underway, so we’re rushing to reach as many undecided voters as we can through TV and digital ads, door-knocking, phone-banking, and more.
