It’s been a remarkable year.
- In March, the U.S. Supreme Court heard Curtis Flowers’ case.
- In June, the nation’s highest court overturned Flowers’ conviction.
- In July, Clemmie Fleming became the second major prosecution witness to publicly recant and Willie James Hemphill’s alibi fell apart after our reporting.
- In September, Flowers was transferred from Parchman Prison to a local jail.
- And two weeks ago, Flowers was released on bail in a ruling that surprised many. You rely on us to stay informed about Flowers’ case. And many of the past year’s events have been direct results of our reporting in Season 2.
