One thing that I’m glad he mentioned is that I’m not the kind of Democrat who wants to shut down the oil and gas industry, sue them into oblivion, and replace them with a policy-to-be-named-later.
My husband works in oil and gas, but it’s not just personal bias. Our oil and gas industry matters—not just to us here in southeast Texas, but to the rest of the country and to the world.
Of course we should have an energy policy that isn’t just oil and gas, but it has to be pragmatic—we can’t just burn everything to the ground and hope for the best.
The reason that I’m running, though, isn’t oil and gas. It’s the fact that my opponent, Dan Crenshaw, is wildly out of touch with what most of us around here believe.
Dan’s an extremist in moderate clothing.
You’ve been reading my emails, so you already know. But I’m trying to tell the truth about Dan to as many people in our community as possible before the polls close on November 8.
Anything you can contribute now will help us continue knocking on doors, making calls, sending texts, and reaching out to voters across the Second District. Can you help?
