John,
2022 has been a banner year for AFGE. Following the relentless attacks on federal employees’ representation rights and union contracts under the previous administration, we have reversed the downward spiral in membership declines and have notched one victory after another that is putting our union on the path to victory!
The latest edition of the Government Standard recaps our major accomplishments and activities during the past year and highlights locals across the country that are leading the way in recruiting new members to the AFGE family.
Inside this year-end issue, you’ll also read about:
- The latest updates on your pay raise, health care benefits, cost-of-living adjustments, and pro-worker actions that will increase locality pay for tens of thousands of federal employees.
- Military veterans who are continuing to serve their country as proud AFGE members.
- An AFGE-backed bill nearing approval by elected leaders that will expand parental, family, and medical leave benefits for D.C. Government workers.
- AFGE’s recognition of National Native American Heritage Month and Universal Human Rights Month.

Thank you for all that you do every day.
In Solidarity,
