Dear Friend,

This morning, His Eminence, Raymond Cardinal Burke, offered the holy sacrifice of the mass, for all the intentions of the Operation Storm Heaven Rosary Warriors, as well as all who submitted intentions, on this great Solemnity of All Saints. The Holy Mass was live streamed, from the main altar, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

In his homily, Cardinal Burke touched upon the source of holiness. He explained that it is the fear of the Lord, the practice of the Beatitudes – practice of that poverty of spirit, which recognizes that God alone is the source of our being. That He has created us in our own image and likeness, that image and likeness is all goodness, all truth and all beauty. Therefore, our only happiness is in recognizing God as our Creator, our Redeemer, and giving Him, in turning over our hearts, our worship, all our thoughts, all our attitudes, all our actions, all of our dispositions, so that we might be His faithful servants in all things.

His Eminence suggested that we should frequently read the lives of the saints.

“We see how some of them, some of the most unlikely, to be heroes of sanctity - by turning to God with all their hearts, by giving to Him the worship of their hearts – therefore, giving to Him also all their thoughts words and actions. They are for us, models of how we are to live in our own time.  They are not only models, but because they share with us in a preeminent way the life of Christ which we have received in Baptism, in Confirmation and in Holy Communion, in which we receive the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ, at Holy Mass. They share that same rite with us. They are bound with us in sharing that deep love for God and one another. Therefore, they intercede for us if only we call upon their help.”

May all the holy men and women, Saints of God, intercede for us, as we strive to live a life of virtue and holiness, all for the glory of God!
