Dear John, The past year brought unprecedented challenges as animal experimenters pushed hard on their agenda to increase animal use and resist calls for accountability. But AAVS has pushed back with effective campaigns to defeat efforts to: deny chimpanzees retirement to sanctuaries; privatize federal lab inspections; and drastically reduce oversight of animal use in labs. We've scored some successes, thanks to you. And we also helped to rapidly advance the development and use of alternative, nonanimal methods. That is the value of an organization with expertise and unique dedication to working on behalf of animals used in science. That is the value of AAVS. It's a big job and we couldn't do it without you!
