Friend,
After insurrectionists overran the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021,
Amazon called out the members of Congress who voted to overturn the
election -- including the Seditious Seven from California -- as part of
“an unacceptable attempt to undermine a legitimate democratic process.”(1)
Now Amazon is donating to those same politicians it called “unacceptable,”
including Californian Darrell Issa.(2)
Amazon may want to forget January 6, but these politicians are still
promoting Trump’s Big Lie that the election was stolen. We are demanding
that Amazon cut off those political donations.

The January 6 hearings in Congress made abundantly clear that not only did
Trump orchestrate the riots, but he is continuing to plan to undermine
future elections.
In states like Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia, Big Lie election deniers are
using disinformation about voter fraud to win races for secretary of
state, governor, and other offices in charge of deciding the 2024
presidential election.(3)
But Amazon is saying that it’s been 21 months and they’ve moved on?!(4)
Amazon is pouring money into electing candidates they can count on to
support their monopoly practices, no matter how dangerous they are to the
economy. It needs to stop.

insurrectionist members of Congress?
Thank you for joining the fight to defend democracy.
