Bringing Awareness to COPD and Lung Cancer
November is an important month; it’s both COPD Awareness Month and Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

We are committed every month, but especially this month, to bring you important COPD and lung cancer resources. Whether you are a patient, caregiver or family member affected by lung disease, we are here to support you no matter where you are in your journey.

Inspirational Heroes
John L.
John has been living with COPD for over 15 years. After his diagnosis, John found it challenging to find reliable information on how to receive the best care to help manage his COPD. The Lung Association’s Better Breathers Club helped John meet others living with COPD and find meaningful support. “As I tell others with COPD, this isn’t the end of anything, but simply a new chapter.” John is an inspiration to us all!
Maria S.
Anyone can get lung cancer. This was the realization for Maria, a nurse practitioner from Iowa. In 2019, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer after an abnormal CT scan showed several swollen lymph nodes in her chest. Today, Maria is grateful to be feeling well and devotes her time to advocate for testing and mitigation of radon. Maria is an inspiration to us all!

Double Your Donation
This November, your gifts go even further. Throughout the month, all donations will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000, thanks to a generous, anonymous sponsor.

Your donations make a difference by delivering research, education and advocacy to those impacted by lung disease — including COPD and lung cancer.
