On Friday October 14, due to the hard work and organizing of our partnerts at DC Chapter of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, two committees in the DC Council unanimously voted to advance the DC Domestic Workers Bill of Rights!

It is an exciting start to the week knowing that we are closer than ever to winning equal protections for domestic workers in DC! And we are not done, ?we need you to take action TODAY to keep up the energy and momentum to move the bill forward. In order to do that the Business and Economic Development Committee must pass the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights within the next month to ensure this bill has time to pass before the end of the year. We need you!

HOW TO TAKE ACTION

• Email Business and Economic Development committee to hold a vote as soon as possible to protect domestic workers in DC
• Lift up tweets from NDWA, Councilmember Silverman and Councilmember White around this important piece of legislation
• Share the graphic on social media!
