It’s the last day of the year. Earlier this week, we put out a challenge: Help us reach 6,000 monthly sustainers by New Years so this movement can make 2020 the year we finally start building a future where all people can all thrive for generations to come.

Already, 5163 people have chipped in. Now we just need 837 more. Looking at the numbers, if just one person from each zip code on our list makes a monthly gift, we’ll blow past our goal in a couple hours.

2020 could be the year that makes or breaks our chances for a Green New Deal. If we elect a new wave of leaders who are ready to put the GND into law, we could find ourselves one year from now on the verge of winning the change we’ve hoped for.

But if we don’t, we can’t afford to wait another four years. We’ve only got 10 years until the worst effects of the climate crisis become irreversible. So we have to make this year our movement’s strongest year yet.

We’ve got the plans to do it: Next year, we’re ready to train over 100,000 new Sunrise leaders across the country, build electoral teams in 10 key states to contact millions of voters, and more.

All we need now are the resources to make those big plans possible. And if just one person from every zip code on this email list chips in right now, we’ll easily meet our goals.
