2022 Annual Membership Meeting in person and online

After many years online, please join PA members at The Fruit (305 S Dillard St., Durham NC 27701) for the Annual Meeting on December 6th at 6:00pm. For those who would prefer to remain online, there will be a virtual option. 

Come out and reconnect with the PA community and allies. Enjoy food and beverages and celebrate the year. We will elect board members and officers for the 2023 year, hear from our Strategic Planning partners, and check in with our Action Teams.

Free Tour with PA members: Stagville and the Roots of Durham

Register HERE to discover the connections between the early history of Durham and one of the largest plantations in North Carolina. This outdoor guided tour will highlight the post-Emancipation history of Stagville. Hear stories of freed families who moved to Durham, how the Cameron family's wealth influenced North Carolina, and how sharecropping shaped the lives of African American families at Stagville.
This tour will take place rain or shine. Join PA members at the visitor's center afterwards for fellowship and hot apple cider.

VOLUNTEER - Join the Housing and Transit Action Team as they assist our neighbors in crisis. Contact [email protected] if you have a few hours on a weekday morning to come to the courthouse and distribute information to people facing eviction. You will be trained and equipped with resources.
The Housing and Transit Action Team will meet Thursday, November 17 at 6:00 PM.
