They say that the best way to scare someone is to catch them by surpri – BOO!
Did it work? No? Okay fine, I give up. Instead, let’s pivot and talk about something really scary: the end of democracy.
With just eight days until the final votes are cast, our country’s democratic system is hanging by a thread. Close attorneys general races in Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, and Arizona will determine whether we’re able to prevent Big Lie-supporting election deniers from taking office in the next few years.
We promise we won’t spend the money on Halloween candy. For three reasons:
First, we are not allowed. I asked Geoff and he said we couldn’t because of “campaign finance regulations.” Clearly, “campaign finance regulations” have never had a Milky Way sandwich before (That’s when you stack a Milky Way between two Kit Kat bars and it’s incredible).
Second, as much as we love Halloween candy, we love Democratic Attorneys General that much more.
And third, while there’s no amount of Twix in the world that can fix American democracy, we only need to win a few critical elections this year to keep election deniers out of power.
