This Halloween, there is nothing scarier than the threats to our democracy.  We all know that the stakes are high in this mid-term election.  We now know that fewer people are turning out to vote here in Texas than in the last mid-term in 2018.  And we also know we can do something about it.

Here is what we are seeing:

• Harris County votes so far are down more than 100,000 votes as compared to this same point in 2018 (398,000 (2022) to 506,000 (2018)).
• Fort Bend County votes so far are down nearly 30,000 votes as compared to this same point in 2018 (95,000 (2022) to 122,000 (2018)).
• This past weekend in Harris County we saw the lowest turnout so far this cycle -- with fewer people voting Saturday and Sunday than any weekday last week.

Here is what we are doing:

• Getting out the vote.  #TeamLizzie is knocking on doors every day this week.  And this weekend, we are organizing a big Day of Action and Rally!  Join us!

• Supporting Democrats in Harris County, Fort Bend County, and in tough races all over.

What we are not doing is giving up.  We’re giving it our all.  And in these final days, I hope you will, too.  Remind friends and family to vote.  Take them to the polls.  Join us to talk with voters from now to election day.
