This Halloween, there is nothing scarier than the threats to our democracy. We all know that the stakes are high in this mid-term election. We now know that fewer people are turning out to vote here in Texas than in the last mid-term in 2018. And we also know we can do something about it.
Here is what we are seeing:
- Harris County votes so far are down more than 100,000 votes as compared to this same point in 2018 (398,000 (2022) to 506,000 (2018)).
- Fort Bend County votes so far are down nearly 30,000 votes as compared to this same point in 2018 (95,000 (2022) to 122,000 (2018)).
- This past weekend in Harris County we saw the lowest turnout so far this cycle -- with fewer people voting Saturday and Sunday than any weekday last week.
Here is what we are doing:
- Getting out the vote. #TeamLizzie is knocking on doors every day this week. And this weekend, we are organizing a big Day of Action and Rally! Join us!
