I hope you liked our team’s email earlier today — I’m a big Halloween buff and got a major kick out of it! While these jokes and puns can be fun, I wanted to reach out tonight with something just a bit more serious.

I wanted to speak frankly with you about what our teams are seeing on the ground in Michigan and Vermont. Tomorrow marks one week until Election Day, and we’re seeing anti-choice extremists pull out all the stops in hopes of scaring voters out of passing these critical measures on November 8. 

Millions of dollars are being spent on ads online and on TV, anti-abortion high schoolers are going door-to-door, and extremists in the state legislature are doing whatever they can to circumvent these measures. 

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, we’ve seen extremist politicians from all across the country make twisted political moves that have put the livelihood and safety of Americans in grave danger. People’s lives are at stake and these politicians are OK playing games with them.

Our campaigns in Michigan and Vermont are the absolute failsafe for protecting people in those states from any more attacks on abortion. And winning these campaigns sets the stage for other states to use ballot measures to protect or restore their access to abortion, too. 

We know winning these campaigns is only the first step, but it’s only a first step that will happen if we have your support.
