We wanted to quickly bump Chris’ email from the other day before tonight’s final fundraising deadline.

John Fetterman’s race in Pennsylvania could easily decide the majority. And while Dr. Oz and his allies are relying on dark money and the dirty politics that so many of us are tired of, John is running a real grassroots campaign that is focused on delivering real progress for working families.

So he needs us to have his back. Can you please split a donation between John Fetterman’s campaign and Senator Murphy’s effort to barnstorm across the country for Democrats in these final days?

We cannot afford to come up short right now, so thank you in advance.

In a moment, I want to talk about what happened at last Tuesday’s debate between John Fetterman and Dr. Oz.

But first, I want to give you an honest update about this race. The polls are tightening quite a bit. It’s looking like a 1- or 2-point race — potentially even tied.

This isn’t cause to panic, but we can’t take this race for granted for even a second. So I’m hoping we can rush some last-minute resources into Pennsylvania to boost our chances.

If that’s all you need to hear, then please split anything you can afford between John Fetterman’s campaign and my efforts to hold the majority. Every dollar makes a difference.

Last week, John Fetterman debated Dr. Oz. You may have heard about it because there was a lot of handwringing in the media and online discourse about how John’s recovery is going. It was gross.

So here’s the truth of what happened: John Fetterman was heroic. He did what few politicians ever would — show vulnerability with folks. Maybe the pundits on cable and Twitter can’t see the humanity and relatability in that, but I can assure you voters do.

There are millions of people out there fighting their way back from adversity. John is setting an example, and frankly, after this ordeal, his voice is going to be even more powerful in the Senate. Like John said that night, we all know what it’s like to get knocked down and to have to get back up and keep fighting

So what was the real news out of last Tuesday night? Dr. Oz said point blank that he wanted “local political leaders” to decide whether abortion should be legal.

Absolutely not. We cannot afford Dr. Oz’s extreme agenda in the U.S. Senate. If we want any chance to codify abortion rights, then we have to win Pennsylvania.

So please, if you can, split a donation between John Fetterman’s campaign and my efforts campaigning to defend and expand the Senate majority. This is important, and I know it would mean a lot to John and me to have your support.

This seat could decide the majority. If we lose even one seat, then it’ll be up to John to win if there’s any hope of stopping Mitch McConnell from becoming majority leader once again.

So thank you for all you’re doing to push us to victory in these closing days.

Every best wish,

- Chris Murphy
