Secretary Mike Pompeo:
After graduating from the United States Military Academy and serving in the United States army, Mike earned his law degree from Harvard and worked as an attorney until 1998. He then became an entrepreneur in the aerospace and oilfield industries. Pompeo served Kansas's 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2011-2017.

President Donald J. Trump appointed Pompeo as Director of the CIA in January of 2017 and Secretary of State in April of 2018. As Secretary of State, Pompeo was a vocal critic of China and its oppression of Uyghur Muslims; he also opposed China's policies regarding Hong Kong and Taiwan. Pompeo prioritized the protection of religious liberty and brokered historic peace deals in the Middle East.
