Hello,

This week's edition explains why you shouldn't run from your destiny and on the podcast, Senator Josh Hawley and I discuss the leftist ideology surrounding men and the potential future of American politics. Also, from the archives, how life's error messages contain the implicit world.

** Don’t Run From Your Destiny
------------------------------------------------------------

Part of you is telling you you should do something. And it's hard to do it, effortful, and maybe you're afraid of it. And so you don't do it, you just procrastinate. Right?

And so how do you feel about that? Good?

What you feel is that you're betraying yourself. Your anxiety actually gets worse, not better. You know you can put it off moment to moment but that doesn't help.

Every time you put it off, the anxiety just grows a little bit. You're not proud of yourself, you have a sense that you're making things more chaotic than they should be.

If you do that long enough—and I'm sure many of you have had that experience—if you do that long enough, if that becomes habitual, things will get so stormy around you that you'll fall right into the into the watery chaos. And maybe you'll drown.

So it's not a very good idea to run from your destiny. Whatever that might be.
In your marriage or intimate relationship, you should ask yourself,

“how good would things be if I were as good as I could be?”

Because I would say, there’s no upper limit to that.

Last week, many of you sent kind words regarding the release of Jordan B Peterson On Marriage, my new 3-part series on DailyWire+ ([link removed]) .

In Episode 2, available this Thursday, I will share the keys to a successful relationship and the importance of negotiation. I will also discuss the necessity of sorting out your own past baggage before progressing with your partner, and why structured family meetings matter.

If you want to enjoy a better union and avoid the matrimonial pitfalls that so many fall into, I invite you to watch On Marriage, available now.

------------------------------------------------------------

"Trust is what enables us to look at each other without running away screaming. if I trust you, then I don't have to take into account how complicated you are, and as long as you'll do what you say you'll do, then I can take you at your word." ([link removed]) (

"Our brain hypothesizes potential futures. it runs simulations and it kills them. And that can be really painful, but it beats the hell out of dying yourself." ([link removed]) (

Wickedly penned by Dr. Jordan B Peterson, an ABC of Childhood Tragedy unforgettably depicts the doomed and desperate lives of Adella, Bertram, Cynthia and their cohort of catastrophe. Twenty-six dark and witty poems, each a tragic comedy of innocence and vulnerability. Twenty-six hauntingly beautiful portrayals of injustice and suffering, each from the gifted imagination of Juliette Fogra, illustrator of Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life. If A Nightmare before Christmas or Coraline struck you to the heart, if the gothic raillery of Edward Gorey’s Gashlycrumb Tinies seduced you to smile satirically, if the Brothers Grimm were nowhere near grim enough for you, then An ABC of Childhood Tragedy might just be the book you’ve been pining for. Most decidedly NOT for children. Coming to shelves October 25th.

What Do You Do With Messages of Error? | Jordan B. Peterson

Dr. Peterson:
"Well, so you're moving from point A to point B in your little circumscribed world. You've made everything invisible and as long as that works then your theory is good enough. It's accurate enough and it's true enough. You're in your little paradise but if something comes up and objects well that's where your character is tested."
