It’s me, Papi (Hala’s dog)! I know what you’re expecting here, a picture of a cute dog (me) in a Halloween costume. And while I am the goodest boy, and I love to please, I’m going to have to disappoint you today.

Normally I’d be game to play a pirate, or a mime, or perhaps even Peter Pan, but this year there is too much at stake for fancy dress. I am a serious dog, and we are living in serious times.

John, we’re all in for a ruff future if the Democratic humans don’t come out on top. People like Yesli Vega and Glenn Youngkin represent the worst of us, but they want to have power over our healthcare, our economy, and our fundamental rights. We need to make sure we defeat their dangerous ideas – this year and next year – and to do that, we must hit our end-of-month goal before midnight. We don’t have time for costumes, okay? So, please, can you donate $5 to my mom’s campaign to help her build a team that will serve all of us?

Speaking of my mom, I just know she’ll be the bestest state Senator. She knows that every single Virginian (furry and non-furry) matters, and she is fighting for all of us.

She’s been working really hard to elect the good guys, even going on walks without me...something called canvassing? I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I know the humans are doing a lot of it lately, because they need to get out the vote!
