Happy October! October is LGBT History Month and the first half was Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, so as a member of the Latinx LGBTQ community, I’m feeling extra proud to be sharing some exciting updates with you all. As you may know, I am a proud California DREAM Act beneficiary, and I am delighted to share Immigrants Rising’s newest wave of resources, which include the Educational Resource Binder that has helped educators provide essential support to students like me, as well as the most up-to-date checklist for the California DREAM Act.
I also want to let you know that Immigrants Rising supports LGBTQ immigrants like me, as well as those from other marginalized backgrounds, through our 6-week virtual Wellness Support Groups. Read on to learn more about what programs and resources we've been developing at Immigrants Rising!
