** It’s spooky season and AAPI candidates continue to face scary racism on the campaign trail.

AAAFund endorsee Lieutenant Commander Jay Chen is fighting back against attack ads steeped in xenophobia and racism from Rep. Michelle Steel’s campaign. Rep. Steel has revealed once again the GOP’s and her own extremism and willingness to throw the AAPI community under the bus for her own political gain.

“Michelle Steel has not hesitated to put members of her own community in danger for political gain. We reject the use of these racist tactics against any candidate of Asian descent. Our community and California’s 45th District deserve better,” said Gautam Dutta, Chair of AAAFund-California Chapter.
