It’s no secret that President Biden’s open border policies have provoked an out-of-control crisis at our southern border. Month after month, data continues to indicate the chaotic situation is only worsening with no end in sight. Yet month after month, the Biden Administration continues to turn a blind eye to the disorder – highlighting their dereliction of duty.
While the White House has long championed cruel intentions of leaving our border wide open and advancing mass amnesty policies, the Biden Administration is also trying to save face ahead of the midterm elections. According to recent polling, a majority of Americans believe our nation is experiencing an “invasion” at the southern border – a troubling figure for Democrats and their prospect at the polls in less than two weeks.
In an attempt to conceal the exacerbating crisis unfolding at the southern border, the Biden Administration recently released the latest border numbers on a Friday night – hiding the harsh reality in a late-night news dump.
But Americans deserve the truth.
Under Biden’s watch, our southern border encountered 227,547 illegal migrants last month – racking the total figure for the fiscal year up to 2,378,944 illegal encounters. This marks an unprecedented statistic, as no other fiscal year ever recorded has surpassed two million illegal crossings. Of course, this number doesn’t include known gotaways who evaded U.S. Border Patrol, which is estimated to be around 600,000 this year alone and more than one million since Biden took office. Furthermore, 98 suspected terrorists were stopped trying to cross the border this fiscal year, with 20 encountered in September alone. Folks, that’s more than triple the last five years combined. Alarmingly, CBP agents also seized enough fentanyl this fiscal year to kill 3.3 billion people – over ten times the population of the United States.
Enough is enough! These latest numbers solidify that President Biden’s devastating policies have incentivized illegal aliens to unlawfully cross our weakened and porous border, emboldened dangerous criminals and suspected terrorists, and empowered drug cartels to flood deadly drugs into our communities. When House Republicans earn back the majority in November, we will deliver on our promise to provide a nation that is safe – starting with securing our southern border.
