In a moment, I’m going to ask you to chip in to my campaign – but first I want to tell you a story about why.

When I first got into public service, a lot of folks gave me advice.

There’s one piece of advice in particular that I haven’t followed: I was told to pick just a few things to focus on. But that’s never been my way. 

Protecting reproductive freedom. The fight against gun violence. Tackling climate change. The housing crisis. These are just a few of the critical issues we’re facing as a state and a country. I don’t believe that we should – or have to – pick just one or two. I think we can make progress on all of them. 

That’s the philosophy I’ve stood behind as Attorney General, and it’s the one that will continue to guide my work if we win in November. But first, we have to defeat my Republican opponent and show that California will continue to be a leader in the fight for progress.

Tonight we’re facing one of our last deadlines in this campaign – our October end-of-month deadline, which will help us determine our final spending in this race. So please, if you can – step up and pitch in $5 right now?
