Friends,

Today, I’m asking if you can contribute to support seven House candidates in tough races across California who could decide whether or not we maintain our Democratic House majority.

I’ll explain the state of these seven candidates’ races below, but if you already know you’re all-in to support Kermit Jones (CA-03), Adam Gray (CA-13), Rudy Salas (CA-22), Christy Smith (CA-27), Asif Mahmood (CA-40), Will Rollins (CA-41), and Jay Chen (CA-45), you can use this link to split a donation between their campaigns.

SPLIT A DONATION

Kermit Jones is a doctor and Navy veteran running in CA-03 against an extreme Republican who has denied the results of the 2020 election. Kermit is committed to reforming our nation’s healthcare system, providing broadband internet access to all, and defending the right to choose.

Adam Gray is running to represent CA-13 with a commitment to improving education and public safety. He has served as a member of the California State Assembly for the past decade and has worked tirelessly to improve access to healthcare and reduce the San Joaquin Valley’s shortage of doctors.

Rudy Salas is running in CA-22 against an anti-choice Republican incumbent who does not support federal protections for abortions. Rudy is currently a member of the California State Assembly and has done important work to improve healthcare, drinking water quality, public safety, and more.

Christy Smith is running to represent CA-27, a prime pickup opportunity for Democrats. She’s facing off against a staunchly anti-choice Republican, and needs our support to win her race and fight for reproductive rights in the House of Representatives.

Asif Mahmood is running in CA-40 against an anti-choice Republican incumbent who has spent her time in Congress affirming Trump’s extreme agenda. If elected, Asif would be a champion for healthcare, focusing on lowering the cost of prescription drugs and strengthening the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid.

Will Rollins is running to represent CA-41. His Trump-endorsed opponent voted against certifying the electoral results of Arizona and Pennsylvania during the 2020 election. If elected, Will would be champion for LGBTQ+, voting, and reproductive rights and would prioritize addressing the climate crisis.

Jay Chen is running in CA-45 with a commitment to reforming our healthcare system, helping small businesses succeed, and providing better assistance to our nation’s veterans. Meanwhile, his opponent has openly opposed legislation to recognize same-sex marriages, as well as legislation that would prohibit discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.

These seven candidates need our help. The outcomes of these crucial races in California will decide the future of the House of Representatives.

Will you please chip in $7 — just one dollar for each candidate — or anything you can afford to help Kermit, Adam, Rudy, Christy, Asif, Will, and Jay in their tough elections?

With reproductive rights, voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, our environment, and so much more on the ballot, we must do everything we can to support Democrats in tough races before polls close on November 8th.

Thank you for standing with me in this fight,

Alex Padilla
