Hi John,
Any day now, Rishi Sunak’s government could approve Rosebank - the largest undeveloped oil field in the North Sea.
This new oil field will only make oil giants even richer and have catastrophic effects on the climate. We’re going to fight Rosebank every step of the way. Will you join us and 70,000 others?

By failing to reduce our dependence on oil and gas, the government has left us at the mercy of the world’s chaotic fossil fuel system.
More fossil fuels = more chaos. Opening up new fields will do nothing to lower bills for UK households. Plus, it takes years to go from discovering a new field to actually getting any oil or gas out of the ground.
The climate crisis is here - now. We’ve seen floods devastate Pakistan, rivers dry up across Europe, and scorching heat in China in the last few months alone. Rosebank will only pour more fuel on the fire.

Instead of more fossil fuels, we need urgent and rapid investment in solutions to this crisis that will bring energy bills down for good. Renewables - power generated from solar, wind and waves - home insulation, and heat pumps will not only lower bills, they’ll help ensure a green, liveable future for all of us.
Rishi Sunak should learn from Liz Truss’ mistakes: instead of going all-in on new oil and gas projects, focus on the real solutions to bring down bills—renewables, home insulation and heat pumps.
Thanks for everything you do,
Miranda & the Oil team
