John, we only
have a few hours left to reach our $5.6 million goal before tonight’s
end-of-month deadline.
This is the task at hand:
If Texas is the most voter-suppressed state in the union — and it is —
then we’ve got to go out and reach the people who are the targets of
suppression and intimidation, and bring them in to make them the margin of
victory on November 8th.
That means knocking on those voters’ doors, making phone calls, texting,
volunteering — all of which requires grassroots support to make possible.
Think about this: We have eight days left to decide the future, the
fortune, and the fate of the state of Texas. What are you willing to do
over the course of these last eight days to ensure we win?
