It’s Time…

Dear friends and supporters,

This morning I attended a Press Conference at the broken Congress Street Bridge. My opponent reminded us that 14 years ago he became responsible for this project and announced the State of Connecticut had finally issued permits for work to begin.

As a former local official for my own town, I found it upsetting and frustrating that the local Bridgeport officials had to advocate, push, work and wait for more than a decade for my opponent to make progress on his promise. Himes’ broken promises have real world impacts on people. It was painful to see the senior public housing high rise across the waterway surrounded by blight without access to downtown operations and merchants. Local officials and first responders have been left to try their best to provide quality of life and emergency services to their constituents, as residents were cut off from the downtown and their neighborhoods were forgotten.

I hope for the people of Bridgeport that this announcement becomes a reality.

 ABOUT JAYME
I’m running for Congress to bring common sense and balance back to Washington and to give voice to the people of the 4th Congressional District who have been left behind by politicians working for themselves and a national party agenda.  As a trusted leader and mother of five children, I understand the impacts government policies have on our communities and promise to fight for Connecticut children, families and businesses.
