Hey John,
Condoms, Plan B, and birth control pills. They should all be on the same shelf at CVS, Walgreens, etc. No prescription required, no age restrictions. We. Are. So. Close!!
As you must have seen by now, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) wants to hear from you about this.
❗ The deadline for submitting written testimony is Thursday, and on top of individual comments, we think a detailed letter signed by hundreds of young people across the country will make a big statement. So thank you for helping us do that!
Want to get even more names? Here's three ways you can send this to your friends:
-
After you add your name, use the social media share buttons to post the link. Anyone age 25 or younger can sign.
-
Copy/paste this text to a bunch of friends: "Hey! I just added my name to tell the FDA to increase access to birth control for young people. Would you be able to join me? It's through Advocates for Youth - a group I've worked with before. It takes no time at all here: https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/hey-fda-youth-want-birth-control-today?source=direct_link& "
-
Have that long link above open on your phone! Whenever you're with someone you know would support it, tell them about #FreeThePill, and copy/paste and text it to them right then and there!
This isn't your regular old petition that goes nowhere. We are SUBMITTING it to the FDA on Thursday! So definitely get your name on there and send it to friends. (PS - need more details? Scroll down to read the letter we wrote here.)
Thanks everyone,
