You still have time to support CLC before the end of 2019!

This has been quite an eventful year, and we’ve worked hard to protect our democracy. There are still great risks ahead in 2020. 

In 2019: 

• We saw the result of an FEC complaint we filed in 2018 which uncovered the illegal six-figure contribution to Trump's super PAC by two foreign-born donors. Those donors, after gaining access to Members of Congress and President Trump, were arrested this fall." 
• We joined forces with Michigan’s “Voters Not Politicians” in the ongoing legal fight to defend the state’s nonpartisan redistricting body. 
• We filed a lawsuit challenging an unconstitutional poll tax in Florida. 

And in 2020 we’ll need to work even harder, together. 

We're expecting 2020 to be an uphill battle. We'll be making every effort ahead of the presidential election to make sure all eligible American citizens can vote and that our government officials are held accountable. We cannot do this work without your support.  

We are preparing to move quickly and strategically on upcoming threats to our democracy and freedoms. Your partnership is critical in ensuring we are nimble and responsive to any potential threat.
