In just a moment we are going to ask you to make one, final contribution to VoteVets before our end-of-month deadline comes to a close at midnight. Please give us a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is so important.

Here is the truth:

Control of the House and Senate are close and up for grabs.

The races that will determine control of those chambers are close and up for grabs.

We have ads running in a number of those races. We do it because Democrats know we can reach swing voters and moderate voters in a way no one else can.

But if we can expand those buys in the final week, we might be able to flip a seat. And if we can flip a seat, that may be the one that determines control of Congress.

But we cannot do any of that without you. These donations are what allow us to run the many millions of dollars worth of ads we have in play this final week. So we’re asking:

Can we count on you to make one, final contribution to VoteVets before our October fundraising drive comes to a close at midnight tonight? We would not ask if it were not so important.
