John,
Time is running very short before Election Day. So I want to make sure my words are as clear as possible. Our country – our democracy – has never faced a threat like the one we’re facing now. And if we’re going to overcome it, it’s going to take every single one of us. It’s not enough to assume someone else will deal with the attacks on our very system of government. It has to be us – you and me. There are so many things you can do. You can volunteer at the polls. You can take your neighbors to vote. You can talk about the election with your family. And you can – and I hope you will make a donation to the NDRC. I believe in this country, John. I believe in our democracy. I believe the American people will vote in eight days like our democracy is at stake. But it’s our job to help them get there. For months now, that’s exactly what the team at the NDRC has been doing. We’ve been diligently identifying and supporting nearly 500 candidates, from those running for governor to those running for state legislature, who voters can rely on to defend democracy from vicious attacks. We’ve been partnering with groups like The States Project to invest in flipping state legislative chambers so that our movement can stop MAGA Republicans from hijacking election results, as Donald Trump tried to do in 2020. We’ve been working in key states to protect and even expand the right to vote. And with our affiliates, we’ve been defending election infrastructure by recruiting poll workers. But it won’t be enough without you, John. If there was ever a moment to get off the sidelines and take action, it’s this one. So I’m asking one more time. Tonight is the most important deadline of this entire election. Can you dig deep and give to the NDRC today?
Thank you, truly, for everything,
