Each year, the [American Foundation for Suicide Prevention]([link removed]) (AFSP) has the unique opportunity to support researchers from all over the world whose work focuses on suicide prevention. For the 2022 grant cycle, we are excited to announce 34 new research grants totaling $8.18 million. AFSP is the largest private funder of suicide prevention research in the United States and globally, with a total current research investment of $24 million.

So much of what we understand about suicide and how to prevent it is a direct result of such research. We welcome you to learn more about our new research grants and the important topics they aim to shed light on in our efforts to save lives.
