John, we have to thwart their plans:

The American Gas Association and Big Oil lobbyists are already drooling over the idea of having a Speaker McCarthy – and the kind of damage they can do to climate progress.
Recent reporting by the New York Times has uncovered the plans these lobbyists have in place if Republicans take back control. One of their biggest targets is the Inflation Reduction Act’s rebate program that allows low- and moderate-income families to electrify their homes and apartments at minimal cost to themselves. This program is hugely important because it will improve indoor air quality of these homes, lower energy costs, and reduce carbon emissions.
And we know that they won’t stop there : they’ll push for expanding fossil fuel production – even on our public lands – to help line their pockets at the expense of our planet.
John: We can stop them dead in their tracks. We’re one week away from Election Day, and defending our SEEC Members is the best way to make transformational clean energy policies that will stop the worst climate change effects from happening.
But if fossil fuel interests see our donations going down, they will know they’ve got the thumbs-up to stop climate progress. Will you donate $25 or more right now to support our green candidates in tough races across the country? A final boost of funding could make an impact in key districts that are right on the edge. Thanks to your help in 2020, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 117th Congress while we undo the damage of the Trump Administration.
