Strengthening Childcare & Economic Opportunities in NJ-11 with NJEDA
I joined First Lady Tammy Murphy, NJEDA CEO Tim Sullivan, and Senator Teresa Ruiz at ABC Daycare in Bloomfield to launch NJ’s Child Care Facilities Grant Program. Using federal funds I secured through the American Rescue Plan, we are making quality child care more accessible. This is a critical economic driver - addressing both affordability for NJ families and the labor shortage impacting so many of our local businesses.
Uplifting Survivors with JBWS
When a group of Morris County women started JBWS over 45 years ago by sheltering domestic violence victims in their own homes, they truly understood just how powerful it is when women support each other. Over time JBWS has expanded its outreach to survivors of abuse of all genders and sexual orientations - serving hundreds of thousands of adults. I was honored to join JBWS’s Autumn Auction & Luncheon to thank everyone at JBWS who dedicates their time to prevention, education, and providing support and safety for survivors.
Supporting NJ-11 Seniors
Essex County Senior Wellness Day
It was wonderful to join Essex County Executive Joe DiVincenzo and the Board of County Commissioners at Essex County’s senior wellness day. My casework team and I met with hundreds of seniors from NJ-11 to discuss how we can help them with any difficulties they are having accessing their federal benefits.
If you need help with federal agencies such as the VA or Social Security, you can reach my team by calling 973-526-5668.

Joining the MHA of Essex & Morris Legislative Breakfast
At the Mental Health and Addiction Coalition's Morris County Legislative Breakfast, we highlighted the Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris’s youth suicide prevention program and the $300,000 it has received in federal funding as one of the 10 Community Projects I submitted for Fiscal Year 2022.
This critical work is more important now than ever and we are grateful to MHA for all they do for our community. I want to thank Bob Davison and everyone at MHA of Essex & Morris for promoting safe, hopeful, and healthy communities in North Jersey.
It was wonderful to see all of the organizations and local electeds at the breakfast who work in partnership across Morris County to support mental health and addiction recovery.
Dedicating the Nutley Library’s Children's Room

Anthony, thank you for your public service, and congratulations on having the children's room named in your honor!

Discussing Public Service with Jack and Jill of America’s Teen Group
I had the pleasure of participating in the Morris County Chapter, Jack and Jill of America, Inc.’s National Legislative Month Series with their wonderful Teen Group this weekend. We discussed the importance of public service and being a member of the community who helps other people – it is fundamental for our country, as members of our democracy, that we are all engaged. It takes each and every one of us!
