In Haiti, a resurgence of cholera is worsening an already dire health and humanitarian situation. Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is stepping up its response to the outbreak as case numbers rise, running four cholera treatment centers with a total capacity of 205 beds in the capital, Port-au-Prince. But escalating violence and a longstanding fuel shortage are exacerbating the crisis. “The situation is so volatile that it can change from one day to the next, even from one hour to the next," said MSF doctor Dr. Luxamilda Jean-Louis.
