John, the start of the COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt is less than a week away and our team is preparing to attend, with an ambitious agenda.
This certainly isn’t the first climate conference I’ve been to, but this one feels more important than ever. With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act here in the United States earlier this summer, which included hundreds of billions of dollars in climate mitigation funds, the country is finally moving closer to the leadership role we should be taking. The U.S. is at last starting to put our money where our mouth is
. As you know, Ceres played a pivotal role in this giant leap forward—thank you for the support that helped make it happen!
But I’m not naive, John. Climate change is accelerating, and the reality is that the world is not transitioning to sustainable practices fast enough.
We know from talking to corporate and investor partners that they want the same things we all do: a just and sustainable global economy. |
