Friend, John’s looking ahead to Tuesday’s debate, and he’ll be preparing hard in these next 48 hours to make sure the most important issues facing our country get the attention they deserve on stage.

Meanwhile, I’m looking ahead to September. The truth is, Tuesday and Wednesday will represent the end of the road for many candidates in this race. On stage in September will be the true leaders—the ones with the support and momentum to prevail in this primary and go on to beat Donald Trump.

Friend, John should be on that stage in September. He’s run a small business, a city and a state—that experience and perspective need to be represented on that stage. Anything less would be a disservice to voters who are seeking a candidate with a track record of bold, progressive results. And he’s moving up in the polls.
