The One-Minute Meeting

The U.S. Supreme Court hears a case today that could set in motion the future of affirmative action for college admissions. Over the last five decades, the court has narrowly upheld how schools use race to encourage a diverse student body. But the current Supreme Court is more conservative and less white than previous courts that considered the issue. The issue is so divisive that public opinion poll outcomes depend on how a question is worded. I will show you how different versions of the same question produce polar opposite results.

Officers getting serious about ticketing e-bike speeders. City after city around the country are hearing complaints about electric bicycle riders who are speeding down protected bike trails and greenways. Some cities are going to start writing tickets for speeding e-bikes. and New York is threatening traffic camera enforcement. Electric bikes are making cities rethink bike lanes and even bike parking plans.

The popularity of electric cars is forcing people who rent apartments or homes to rethink what they consider to be essential. Some cities are requiring new complexes to install charging stations.
