Dear John,
I'm writing to you with the utmost urgency.
Today, 37,000 people around the world will be fleeing war and persecution. They will brave violence and freezing conditions, holding their children and their belongings in their arms as they try and reach safety.
Please help us reach refugees and displaced people before it's too late. If you donate before midnight tonight, your tax-deductible gift will be tripled, helping us reach three times as many people facing the gravest moments of their lives in Syria, Yemen and other crisis areas. Triple your tax-deductible gift »
John, this past year our world has become more fragile, less tolerant and more divided. More people are affected by conflict, for longer periods of time and the gap between the needs of refugees and the support for them is on the rise. In the Syrian and Yemen conflicts, specifically, there has been a complete disregard for the lives of women and children in particular.
With your support, we are doubling down on our efforts to reach as many refugees and displaced people as possible. We are ramping up health care, education and protection programs in Syria and Yemen. We are growing our emergency responses at the U.S.-Mexico border and in Colombia, where many Venezuelan refugees have fled.
We are on the ground saving lives every day, but our resources are limited, John. In order for us to continue our critical efforts, we need help from people like you.
Please support our lifesaving work with refugees and displaced people in 2020 by making a gift before midnight. Triple your tax-deductible gift before it's too late »
Sincerely,
David Miliband
