John, I wanted to send you a short note while you get ready for your week. I’ve said this before, but retaining our majority in Congress could very well be a life and death issue for many Americans.
The last time Republicans held the House, they committed themselves to reversing laws which made health care infinitely more accessible for millions, they stacked the Supreme Court, resulting in Roe being overturned, made plans to cut Medicare and Medicaid, and raised taxes for middle-class Americans.
Look, I don’t want to see what they’ll come up with next. At the very least, we’d see a complete stalemate in Washington, with Congress and the White House split and nothing getting done.
That’s why I’m asking you to help me reach our final budget deadline goal by tomorrow night.
Look, John: One of the biggest frustrations I have is watching my friends, family, peers, and even strangers I’d never met suffer from unethical and irresponsible leadership from Republicans.
It infuriates me every time voters are hindered by voter suppression efforts.
It incites me to hear stories of people who are worried about being able to access safe reproductive procedures.
It enrages me every time NRA-backed Republicans turn a blind eye towards victims of gun violence.
It worries me when they cut school funding, deny climate change, or favor massive corporations over local businesses.
And it horrifies me when Republicans try to STEAL an election and incite violence to do it.
This is a critical moment. If we don’t hit our goal, we won’t be able to push resources out to get-out-the-vote in the final week of the campaign.
