Doug Mastriano wants to ban same-sex marriage. He wants to stop gay couples from adopting children. He doesn’t think people in the LGBTQ+ community even belong here.

John, I will continue to advocate for LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians and fight for equality as Governor — just like I have throughout my time in public service.

I’ve defended LGBTQ+ rights from the Trump Administration’s attacks, helped the first LGBTQ+ couples in Pennsylvania marry, and pushed to expand legal protections for our Commonwealth’s LGBTQ+ communities.

As Governor, I’m committed to finally banning discrimination against LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians so that they can find jobs, attend school, and seek housing with the equal rights and protections they deserve.

For too long, members of the LGBTQ+ community have not been afforded equal protection under the law. I will work tirelessly to ensure and expand the rights of the Commonwealth’s LGBTQ+ communities as your next Governor.

The next Governor will have a lot of power to protect — or undermine — LGBTQ+ rights. Let’s make sure we protect them. Can you rush a donation right now — before tomorrow’s end-of-month fundraising deadline — to help this pro-LGBTQ+ campaign win on November 8?

I’ll be blunt: LGBTQ+ rights are at stake in this race — because I’m running against an extremist who wants to take away our freedoms.

Doug Mastriano wants to ban same-sex marriage. He wants to stop gay couples from adopting children. He doesn’t think people in the LGBTQ+ community even belong here.

But there’s good news. We can prevent Mastriano from having the power to discriminate against LGBTQ+ Pennsylvanians — but only if we win this race.

John, the contrast is clear between me and Doug Mastriano. I will work to defend your freedoms, and he will tear them away. But first, we need to win this race. Can you rush a donation today to support this campaign?

There’s so much on the line in this race — and all are critical to protecting our freedoms and our future here in Pennsylvania.

Thanks for taking action,

Josh Shapiro
