Members of Congress spent Friday rebuking Marjorie Taylor Greene for her attempt to make the violent attack on Nancy Pelosi’s husband about herself. 

After an intruder broke into Pelosi’s home and attacked her husband with a hammer, Greene tweeted that “violence and crime are rampant in Joe Biden’s America,” adding that “it shouldn’t happen to me.” 

Democratic Rep. Jim McGovern responded on Twitter:

This despicable behavior is beneath the office Marjorie Taylor Greene holds. So she must be held accountable at the ballot box.
