John, we need to
talk about something that seriously affects DA races — and why directing
donations towards them is so critical: money.

We know just how much power money has in politics. But that is almost
always applied to federal races where we can see candidates raise hundreds
of thousands or even MILLIONS of dollars to put towards the tools and
resources they need to win.

But District Attorney races often won’t receive half, a third or even a
quarter of that kind of funding from donors. These candidates are forced
to run on scant budgets that greatly limit the amount of voter outreach
efforts they can afford.

Yet, these races — especially our fearless progressive DAs running on bold
agendas — are attacked by opponents with huge war chests. This opposition
can completely wipe an incredible prosecutor off the map.

THIS is why we need to be giving the 9 DA races we endorsed this year as
much financial support as we can — because without us, they could be
running on campaign budgets that just won't take them over the finish
line.
