Friend,
Since my daughter Emily began her run for the Washington State Senate, I have supported her in any way that I can. Usually that means helping out at home, with the laundry when it piles up or taking Frida and Ricky for a walk. But, although asking for donations isn’t my favorite, today is Emily’s 37th birthday so I thought I’d make one more pitch to you to support her today. [link removed]
There are no words to describe how proud I am of Emily. Emily is driven by her deep sense of compassion, her own lived experiences, and her pragmatic problem solving. She was the first in our family to go to college, which is why she fights to make higher education accessible for all and increase financial aid to those who need it most. Her sister was born with complex disabilities, and our family knows what it feels like to battle a health care system that doesn’t always seem to have your best interest at heart. That’s why she fights to make sure that all of us have access to high-quality health care.
No matter the issue, Emily knows that our community works best when all of us are at the table sharing our stories, sharing our ideas, and working together to find solutions. I know Emily is our best choice for State Senator, but not just because she’s my daughter. She fights for all of us, but especially for those who need it most. I’m so proud of her.
It’s really important to me that we position Emily to win in this election next week. So, for her 37th birthday, let’s all show Emily how grateful we are for her hard work and tireless leadership for our community by contributing to her campaign. [link removed]
Thank you for the support you’ve given her. It’s so inspiring to see the impact she’s had on our community, and how you all stand up for her in return.
Thank you,
– Cynthia
