My name is Gabby Giffords. I'm a former congresswoman, and 11 years ago, my life was changed forever when I survived a mass shooting at a constituent event in my hometown.

I decided to turn my pain into purpose by becoming a national gun safety advocate, and I've never looked back. But today, I'm not writing to talk about myself. I'm here to tell you about Jay Chen, a proven gun safety champion – and we’re doing everything we can to help elect him next month.

There is so much at stake this year: we need to expand our gun safety majority in the House, defend the Senate, and defeat the NRA’s ally in CA-45, Michelle Steel.

As a decorated sharp-shooter in the Navy, Jay knows his way around guns and understands why we need to do everything we can to keep them off our streets and out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them.

His opponent is an extremist who refuses to keep the American people safe and has even earned an A rating from the NRA.
