Do you have a second to check out this list of the biggest moments of 2019 ? I’m lucky enough to have been here for many of them, and there’s one thing I know for sure:

Team Pete is one of the most hopeful, energetic, and impressive groups of supporters in politics.

And now we need you today. It’s one of the biggest days of the campaign so far. What we raise today and tomorrow will determine the type of campaign we’re able to run in 2020, and we need your help. Can you chip in right now to help us reach our $750,000 goal by midnight tomorrow? [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Subject: The biggest moments of this campaign so far

It’s been a year filled with pretty incredible moments. What started as an underdog campaign has become a top-tier presidential one, staffed by more than 500 people across the country and powered by millions of supporters like you.

We took a look back at the biggest moments of the year -- the times when we could really feel momentum pick up. We need the next day to be one of those moments, so we’ve set a $750,000 goal to hit by midnight tomorrow. If you can, please chip in right now to help us reach this goal. [[link removed]]

We launched our exploratory committee with hope and urgency in our hearts. It was a new season for boldness. Just over 1,500 people donated to our campaign that day.

The CNN Town Hall marked a real turning point for the then-exploratory committee. Millions of Americans heard directly from Pete for the first time. We raised $600,000 from over 22,000 donations in the 24 hours following the town hall. This is the moment that helped us reach the 65,000 donors we needed to be invited to the first debate stage.

The end of the first quarter was an important test for the exploratory committee -- demonstrating the ability to raise money is a requirement for anybody deciding to launch a presidential campaign. Our supporters -- many of whom had just recently been introduced to Pete on the CNN Town Hall -- sent a powerful message, and we were able to announce we raised over $7 million in the first quarter. Not bad for an organization with a 24,000-person email list and a candidate with zero name recognition.

“My name is Pete Buttigieg. They call me Mayor Pete. I am a proud son of South Bend, Indiana. And I am running for President of the United States.”
On a snowy, April day in South Bend, Indiana, Pete officially announced his candidacy for President of the United States. Thousands of supporters joined us in the freezing rain, and in just a few hours after Pete’s announcement speech, we raised $1 million from folks all across the country.

Two big moments all wrapped up in a few days. Pete impressed the nation at the first #DemDebate, and a few days later, we announced we raised about $24,800,000 in the second quarter alone -- the second-largest quarterly report in the race.

"If you are watching this at home, and you are a Republican member of Congress, consider the fact that when the sun sets on your career, and they are writing your story, of all the good and bad things you did in your life, the thing you will be remembered for is whether, in this moment, with this president, you found the courage to stand up to him, or you continue to put party over country.”
Pete made us all proud in another debate. Supporters showed enthusiasm and contributed almost $700,000 in 24 hours.

Powered by the grassroots energy of more than 580,000 donors, we reported that we had raised over $19 million during the third quarter, bringing our total raised to more than $51 million since the beginning of this year.

The Iowa Democratic Party’s annual Liberty and Justice Celebration is a political tradition like no other. Thousands of our supporters showed up to cheer Pete on, and Pete was able to speak directly to thousands of caucusgoers about his bold, unifying vision for our country.

Polls begin to show Pete moving into the top tier of the primary, and also repeatedly beating Donald Trump. After one trusted primary poll, supporters across the nation, with a deep sense of urgency and hope, responded and helped us raise a million dollars.

We need this end-of-quarter push to be one of the big moments on this list. And there’s no reason it shouldn’t be. If we’re going to win this nomination, we need to be able to mobilize when it matters. If you can, please chip in right now to help us reach our $750,000 goal by midnight tomorrow. [[link removed]]
