Halloween is almost here. Soon, buckets (and, if you know best, pillowcases) will be stuffed with sweets. Last-minute costume changes are likely happening because of course they are. And the more experienced trick-or-treaters are plotting out their neighborhood routes to find those legendary full-bar houses — or at least avoid those that are only giving out Smarties. In honor of the holiday, we wanted to share some helpful stories about the phenomenon of the sugar rush (it doesn’t actually exist…), why kids are easily scared (that’s how brain development works…), and the classic tradition of trading Halloween candy (econ is everywhere…). Here’s hoping the holiday is an enjoyable one.
